Flowering house plants

Bouganvillia conjures up balmy summer days and hoilday feelings. One of the hardiest house plants, summer blooming they perform beautifully in hot and dry areas. Dwarf varieties can be grown in tubs. The climbing varieties are fantastic over large arch ways or pergolas.

Gorgeous cool-growing orchid with fleshy blooms in a broad spectrum of colours. Flowering annually from November to May. Min indoor temp 10 C - Max 25 C. Good light needed but best not in direct sun. Water (preferably rain water) as needed to keep compost damp - not wet. Feed every other watering. Best placed outdoors from june to Sept. to aid flower development.

Known as the moth orchid, the phalaenopsis is noted for its arching spray of flowers and its thick green leaves. Phalaenopsis are very popular not only because of their beauty, but because of their ease of care and their extremely long blooming period, often lasting many months. Phalaenopsis make excellent house plants.
Blooms in purples, violet, pinks and white Flowering once or possibly twice per year. Min indoor temp 15 C - Max 26 C. Good light needed but best not in direct sun. Water (preferably rain water) as needed to keep compost damp - not wet. Feed every month in summer and a little less in winter.

A scented, cool-growing orchid with fleshy blooms in purples, violet, greens, browns and reds. Flowering annually from November to May. Min indoor temp 12 C - Max 25 C. Good light needed but best not in direct sun. Water (preferably rain water) as beeded to keep compost damp - not wet. Feed every other watering.
